Tesla has now added a cooler to the list of priceyCybertruck accessories, just in time for that long summer vacation, camping trip, or tailgate party that its owners will be making.
The cooler is clad in stainless steel and takes its design cues from the edgy Cybertruck shapes. With its38" x 16" x 12.5" dimensions, it fits perfectly in the frunk, with a capacity to carry 90 cans of ice-cold beverages.
It looks undeniably cool and comes with two ice dividers to separate the beer cans from the soda chaff, so about the only thing that can give a Cybertruck owner a pause is its $700 price.
For that kind of money, one can buy an actual portable Tesla Model Y fridge, for instance, that can maintain temperatures as low as -4°F (-20°C).
Another popular electric pickup maker just launched an expensive camping trip accessory as well. The Rivian Travel Kitchen costs $1,400 for two 1.5 kW induction burners and a smallish food prep top with storage underneath it.
The storage space hides a "cutting board made from recycled paper and wood pulp," and Rivian also throws in a set of USB-powered Hangout Lights that plug into the Travel Kitchen for setting the right mood.
Thecarrying case of the portable Travel Kitchen is designed to fit in theR1S and R1T side storage compartment and use the truck bed outlets, but it can also be plugged into any 120V outlet that offers at least 15A power output.
