"My Twitter's been hacked, these messages are not from me," Doja Cat wrote in her Instagram story.
US popstar Doja Cat’s Twitter account has apparently been hacked by users who have been promoting a cryptocurrency and another artist’s music.
“My Twitter’s been hacked, these messages are not from me,” Doja Cat wrote in her Instagram story.
An X community note also clarified that her account was hacked:
“The TWITTER DOJACAT account has been hacked. Be careful with any links or cryptocurrency suggestions that are being given on this account.”
In the early hours of Tuesday, a post was uploaded to Doja Cat’s account that read “buy $DOJA or else”, along with a token address that leads to a Doja Cat-themed cryptocurrency.
The putative hackers proceeded to spam Doja’s feed, promoting the $DOJA cryptocurrency.

The hackers later made a post that directly insulted Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, calling her an expletive.
Azalea is an actual crypto advocate and often punts a currency inspired by her, called $MOTHER.
“Hackers on celeb girl accounts again making it about me cause I’m their fixation, but they didn’t consider the fact that I may actually interact w ppl in real life and it’s not fitting into reality lol,” Azalea wrote on X after Doja’s account was spammed.

The hacker seemingly targeted Azalea due to her connection and advocacy for cryptocurrency. They also made a post aimed at rapper Nicki Minaj, writing, “where you at boo [Nicki Minaj]”.
The hacker then started promoting the music of an artist called Weiland.
“Weiland motivates me to chase the bag… doja cats music is demonic [sic],” the hacker wrote.
After spamming Doja’s account with dozens of posts, the hacker then wrote, “We will look back on this and laugh just leave it for memories.”
Doja Cat has seemingly not reclaimed her account yet, as the last post was also by the hacker.
