A Lake County deputy observed a white 1999 Lincoln traveling south on South Fish Camp Road in Grand Island at around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The driver, later identified as 38-year-old Shana Lori Harbin, approached the intersection with County Road 44 and rolled through a red light without coming to a complete stop.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of County Road 44 and Chain O’ Lakes Road and began writing a written warning for the driver. While completing the warning, a K-9 unit arrived on the scene and conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle, which alerted on the vehicle, the report said.
A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a large Michael Kors purse on the passenger side, where Harbin was sitting. She told deputies that the purse belonged to her, and they located her Florida ID card in a matching wallet.
Deputies found a plastic baggie in a zebra-print coin purse inside the purse, according to the report. The baggie contained three rectangular pills, which the deputy recognized as Alprazolam based on training and experience. There was also a purple pill bearing “RD71” in the same plastic baggie, which was identified as 30mg of morphine sulfate.
In the same coin purse, the deputy located a cellophane wrapper which contained three white oval pills bearing “54 775.” These were identified as 2mg of Buprenorphine Hydrochloride. The suspected narcotics were collected to be sent to FDLE for further testing, the report said.
