Audio-Technica unveils limited-edition ATH-WB LTD wooden headphones made with mahogany, maple, and walnut

Audio-Technica has unveiled the limited-edition ATH-WB LTD wooden headphones made with mahogany, maple, and walnut arranged in three layers to create a detailed, warm sound tuned for superior reproduction of string instruments and female voices.

The over-the-ear headphones use 45 mm drivers with diamond-like carbon-coated diaphragms modified from the 60th anniversary ATH-WB2022 wireless wooden headphones for powerful sound. The drivers have a frequency response of 5 to 50 kHz with a 104 dB/mW sensitivity and impedance of 40 ohms.

Sheepskin lines the headband and earpads for comfort during long listening sessions. The earcups can swivel flat on the aluminum alloy frame for transport in the included carrying pouch.

The ATH-WB LTD can connect to analog and digital audio players using the included, unbalanced 3.5 mm and balanced 4.4 mm A2DC cables measuring 3.9 ft. (1.2 m). The ATH-WB LTD weighs 11.3 oz. (320 g).

The ATH-WB LTD, accented with lacquered woods, is available at an MSRP of $1599 with only 300 copies available worldwide. Readers missing out on this limited edition can pick up an Audio-Technica Sound Burger Bluetooth portable record player with a pair of ATH-S300BT wireless headphones to enjoy listening to their classic vinyl records.
