Anker’s new USB-C to USB-C Cable (240W, Upcycled-Braided) now on sale

Anker has launched a new USB-C to USB-C Cable (240W, Upcycled-Braided) in the US and the UK. The cable is available in two lengths, 3 ft (90 cm) and 6 ft (180 cm), and in black or white. According to Anker, the fabric coating, made from post-consumer recycled materials, is soft to the touch and helps to prevent knotting and bending.

The Anker 240W cable is USB-IF certified, with the company suggesting that it could charge a MacBook Pro 16 to 50% in 28 minutes or an iPhone 15 Pro to 50% in 26 minutes. In addition to charging, the cable could be used for file transfers with a 480 Mbps data transfer rate. Anker says it has tested the cable to prove it can withstand over 30,000 bends and support up to 220 lbs without breaking. The product listing indicates that this should mean the cable will last for more than ten years. The cable has a 24-month warranty, a welcome guide and a silicone cord organizer.

You can now buy the Anker USB-C to USB-C Cable (240W, Upcycled-Braided) in 3 and 6 ft lengths for $21.99 and $24.99, respectively. The white 6 ft cable is also available in the UK for £21.99, with the black version expected to arrive soon. Plus, product listings at Amazon Germany suggest that the cable will launch in this market shortly.
