1ST XI FIRST DIVISION

Will Evans maintained his fine form with a crucial 74 which helped Colwyn Bay reach the winning post at the YMCA Ground.

Hosts Orrell Red Triangle won the toss and elected to bat, setting 190-9 declared off 55 overs, skipper Andrew Baybutt making 56.

For the visitors, Patrick Glover claimed 3-32 and Dulanjala Mendis 3-58.

In response, Bay made it to 192-4 in 43.2 for a six-wicket success.

Evans’ 74 included 11 fours and a six, Sion Morris adding 42 and opener Zack Gidlow 38, Duvindu Tillakaratne 4-40 for the hosts.

The 24-6 points win leaves Bay fifth in the First Division.

1ST XI SECOND DIVISION

Hightown St Mary’s (8) 169-10 Northop Hall (22) 172-10

James Hurlin marked his first game for Northop Hall since 2021 with a magnificent five-wicket haul as his team pulled off a thrilling three-run victory at Sandy Lane.

Hurlin, who has more than 300 career league wickets for the Hall, came back in style in a win which will long live in the memory.

Calling the coin correctly and opting to bat, the Hall were all out for 172 off 59.1 overs, Matthew Jones an excellent 65 and Andrew Watkin 30, Jackson Darkes-Sutcliffe 6-43 for the hosts.

In response, Hightown were dismissed for 169, their last six wickets falling for just 23 runs.

Hurlin scooped 5-36 off 15, Nathan Roett 2-33 and Liam Evans-Ford 2-35.

No scorecard available.Prestatyn lost by 72 runs at City Road.

2ND XI SECOND DIVISION

Northop Hall 2nd XI (25) 160-2 Hightown St Mary’s 2nd XI (4) 156-10

Sion Hellen claimed a magnificent third six-wicket haul of the season as Hall seconds romped to victory at Smithy Lane.

Visitors Hightown were bowled out for 156 in 50.5 overs, Hellen picking up 6-66 in 18 overs and Matthew Edwards 3-28 from 14.

The Hall then raced to 160-2 in 33.2 for a maximum 25 points reward.

Gareth Fox led the charge with a dynamic 80 not out, Tom Hellen adding 62.
