Non-fungible token (NFT)-related crypto projects are seeing varying levels of development activity, with a proof-of-stake blockchain emerging as the top performer, according to the analytics platform Santiment.

The platform notes that Flow (FLOW), a layer-1 permissionless blockchain, registered 190.77 notable GitHub events in the past 30 days, easily outpacing other projects. In comparison, Decentraland (MANA), an Ethereum (ETH)-based virtual reality platform, saw 144.9 notable GitHub events.

According to Santiment, a notable GitHub event can be a pull request that is merged or a new issue that is created and closed within the same day, among other types of activity. The platform adds that it doesn’t count routine updates and utilizes a “better methodology” to collect data for GitHub events based on a “backtested process.”

Santiment notes that heavy development activity centered around a crypto project indicates that developers believe in the protocol. Development activity also suggests that the project is less likely to be an exit scam.

In other Santiment news, Decentraland also recently fell from the top of the platform’s list of top crypto gaming projects by development activity, dropping to the number two spot behind MultiversX (EGLD).

The distributed, proof-of-stake blockchain network is decentralized via more than 3,000 nodes and is designed to be scalable, secure and efficient for running Web3 applications, decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and NFTs.

FLOW is trading at $0.735 at time of writing. The 84th-ranked crypto asset by market cap is down nearly 6% in the past 24 hours.
