SRGIntroduction
The digital economy has become an important engine for promoting economic growth and an important breakthrough for industrial upgrading. In the digital economy, digital services supported by information technologies such as the Internet, the Internet of Things, and big data form efficient connections between service providers and service consumers in various fields of the modern service industry. It has changed the traditional supply and demand model, cooperation and division of labor, and value creation and distribution, and developed into a new economic model.
While supporting economic growth, digital services should also assume social responsibility. In the past few years, the rapid growth of digital services and various platforms has led to a series of problems caused by regulatory loopholes, including Internet financial fraud, counterfeit and shoddy products in e-commerce, data abuse and violation of user privacy, illegal content dissemination, and artificial intelligence. Problems such as unfairness and potential discrimination that intelligent algorithms may cause. There is an urgent need for effective governance of digital services. Research on digital service supervision and governance should be carried out to form a stable, orderly, and dynamic digital service governance system and cultivate a healthy governance ecosystem. This workshop therefore aims to survey research related to the regulation and governance of smart digital services.
