Merkle Trade, the first gamified perpetual futures decentralized exchange (DEX) based on Aptos, the secure, scalable and feature-rich Layer-1 blockchain
Merkle Trade, a gamified perpetual futures decentralized exchange (DEX) on Aptos, has announced its Token Generation Event (TGE) Sequence, which includes Genesis Staking and a Liquidity Bootstrapping Auction (LBA).
Merkle Trade, backed by Hashed and Arrington Capital, is known for its accessible and enjoyable trading experience. Users can begin trading perpetual futures with as little as $2 in collateral, thanks to gas-free transactions and 1-click trading. This user-friendly approach has resulted in rapid growth, with Merkle Trade generating over $12.9 billion in cumulative trading volume, attracting over 124,500 traders, and becoming one of the top fee-generating protocols on Aptos.
Now, the platform is inviting users to participate in its TGE Sequence, which offers two distinct ways to engage with the platform. These options aim to cater to both existing users and newcomers, providing diverse strategies to secure MKL tokens, manage positions, and earn additional rewards.
Genesis Staking allows preMKL holders to retain their MKL tokens while earning USDC rewards from a portion of the protocol's revenue. Additionally, there is a special reward pool with up to $200,000 in additional benefits.
Over 3 million preMKL tokens have been staked for an average duration of more than 20 weeks, out of which preMKL holders who participated in Genesis Staking for an average of 12 to 14 weeks will be eligible to claim their MKL tokens during the token launch. This constitutes over 22% of the circulating supply at the time of the token launch.
Meanwhile, the Liquidity Bootstrapping Auction (LBA) will allow both existing users and newcomers to deposit USDC and/or preMKL over a 7-day period. During this time, the ratio between the two assets will determine the initial launch price of the MKL token.
In return, participants will receive MKL-USDC LP tokens, which come with dual rewards: a share of 1% of the total MKL supply and trading fees generated by the pool.
Participants are advised to carefully consider their financial goals and the unique benefits of each option within the TGE Sequence. Both Genesis Staking and the LBA offer valuable opportunities, and users can choose the path that aligns best with their objectives.
To help users navigate these options, the team has created an $MKL TGE Cheatsheet with clear and concise guidance.
For more details and updates on how to participate in the LBA, users are encouraged to stay tuned to Merkle Trade’s official channels (X, Discord, dApp).
