Are you using Story Board? Then used @IBDesignable's third-party library UI library? If so, then if you modify the code, XCode will compile the Story Board synchronously, and then update the display of the Story Board.
Select the storyboard in the project, then Editor -> Automatically Refresh Views, try removing the check?
