Tag definition and usage instructions

What does address mean? The

<address> tag defines the contact information for the author/owner of the document.

If the <address> element is inside a <body> element, it represents the contact information for the author/owner of the document.

If the <address> element is inside an <article> element, it represents the contact information for the author/owner of the article. The text of the

<address> element is usually rendered in

italic. Most browsers will add line breaks before and after this element.

Differences between HTML 4.01 and HTML5
