Plug-ins support interoperability, Microsoft and OpenAI team up to create a new ecosystem of chat robot plug-ins

IT House News on May 23, Microsoft announced today at its annual Build developer conference that it will use the same open standards as OpenAI to develop plug-ins for its Bing chat and Copilot platforms. This means the plugins will be able to interoperate between Bing Chat, the Copilot platform, and OpenAI’s chatbot ChatGPT.

This is another important step for Microsoft to deepen cooperation with OpenAI. Earlier this year, Microsoft expanded its partnership with OpenAI with a "billion-dollar" investment, and a few weeks later launched Bing Chat based on OpenAI's GPT-4 technology.
