libuv is an asynchronous I/O library written in C that supports multiple platforms. It mainly solves the problem that I/O operations are prone to blocking.Originally developed specifically for use with Node.js, but later also used by other modules such as Luvit, Julia, pyuv, etc. The following figure is the structure diagram of libuv.
