css3 pseudo-element

The literal meaning of pseudo-element is "fake element" or "disguise element". In fact, it can be understood this way. Pseudo elements are actually virtual elements. Elements that do not exist (in code form), and you cannot find them in the document, so pseudo elements are virtual elements.

Pseudo element is a keyword appended to the end of the selector. It is mainly used to create some elements that are not in the DOM tree and add styles to them.

With pseudo-elements you can define styles for specific parts of the selected element without resorting to the element's ID or class attributes. For example, through pseudo-elements you can set the style of the first letter in a paragraph, or insert some content before or after the element, etc.

In CSS1 and CSS2, the use of pseudo-elements is the same as pseudo-classes, and a colon : is connected to the selector. However, in CSS3, the use of single colon for pseudo elements was changed to double colon :: to distinguish pseudo classes and pseudo elements. Therefore, it is recommended to use double colons instead of single colons when using pseudo-elements.

selector::pseudo-element {
    property: value;
}

Among them, selector is the selector, pseudo-element is the name of the pseudo element, property is the attribute in CSS, and value is the value corresponding to the attribute.

Note: Only one pseudo-element can be used in a selector, and the pseudo-element must follow the selector. According to the latest W3C specification, you should use double colon :: instead of single colon : when defining pseudo-elements to distinguish pseudo-classes and pseudo-elements. However, since the old version of the W3C specification did not make a special distinction, most browsers currently support both single colon and double colon methods to define pseudo-elements.

CSS provides a series of pseudo-elements, as shown in the following table:

##::first -linep::first-lineMatch the first line of content in each

element

::selectionp::selectionMatch the part of the element selected by the user::placeholderinput::placeholderMatch the placeholder attribute of each form input box (such as )

1. ::after

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
    <style>
        p.one::after {
            content:"";
            display: inline-block;
            width: 50px;
            height: 10px;
            background: blue;
        }
        p.two::after {
            content:"要插入的内容";
            color: red;
            font-size: 6px;
        }
        p.three::after {
            content: url(&#39;./smiley.gif&#39;);
            position: relative;
            top: 8px;
        }
    </style>
</head>
<body>
    <p class="one">伪元素 ::after</p>
    <p class="two">伪元素 ::after</p>
    <p class="three">伪元素 ::after</p>
</body>
</html>

2. ::before

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
    <style>
        p.one::before {
            content:"";
            display: inline-block;
            width: 50px;
            height: 10px;
            background: blue;
        }
        p.two::before {
            content:"要插入的内容";
            color: red;
            font-size: 6px;
        }
        p.three::before {
            content: url(&#39;./smiley.gif&#39;);
            position: relative;
            top: 8px;
        }
    </style>
</head>
<body>
    <p class="one">伪元素 ::before</p>
    <p class="two">伪元素 ::before</p>
    <p class="three">伪元素 ::before</p>
</body>
</html>

3. ::first-letter

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
    <style>
        p::first-letter{
            font-size: 2em;
            color: blue;
        }
    </style>
</head>
<body>
    <p>伪元素 ::first-letter</p>
</body>
</html>

4. ::first-line

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
    <style>
        p::first-line{
            font-size: 1.5em;
            color: blue;
            font-weight: bold;
        }
    </style>
</head>
<body>

</body>
</html>

5. ::selection

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
    <style>
        p::selection{
            color: red;
            background-color: #CCC;
        }
    </style>
</head>

6. ::placeholder

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
    <style>
        input.text::placeholder{
            color: red;
            background-color: #CCC;
        }

Using React with HTML: Rendering Components and DataUsing React with HTML: Rendering Components and DataApr 19, 2025 am 12:19 AM

Using HTML to render components and data in React can be achieved through the following steps: Using JSX syntax: React uses JSX syntax to embed HTML structures into JavaScript code, and operates the DOM after compilation. Components are combined with HTML: React components pass data through props and dynamically generate HTML content, such as. Data flow management: React's data flow is one-way, passed from the parent component to the child component, ensuring that the data flow is controllable, such as App components passing name to Greeting. Basic usage example: Use map function to render a list, you need to add a key attribute, such as rendering a fruit list. Advanced usage example: Use the useState hook to manage state and implement dynamics

React is the preferred tool for building single-page applications (SPAs) because it provides efficient and flexible ways to build user interfaces. 1) Component development: Split complex UI into independent and reusable parts to improve maintainability and reusability. 2) Virtual DOM: Optimize rendering performance by comparing the differences between virtual DOM and actual DOM. 3) State management: manage data flow through state and attributes to ensure data consistency and predictability.

mPDF is a PHP library that can generate PDF files from UTF-8 encoded HTML. The original author, Ian Back, wrote mPDF to output PDF files "on the fly" from his website and handle different languages. It is slower than original scripts like HTML2FPDF and produces larger files when using Unicode fonts, but supports CSS styles etc. and has a lot of enhancements. Supports almost all languages, including RTL (Arabic and Hebrew) and CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Supports nested block-level elements (such as P, DIV),
