ThinkPHP 6.0 version has been developed for more than 8 months since the end of last year. During this period, it also experienced a change from version 5.2 to version 6.0. Due to everyone’s enthusiasm and expectations for version 6.0, the official version has been officially released. The release is very cautious, and efforts are made to stabilize the overall framework architecture to ensure that the core architecture will not be adjusted for a long time in the future. In addition, the details are constantly polished, so the result is that it has not been officially released.
Compared with the previously released RC3 version, the current development version of the core framework has become stable. But on the one hand, the unit test coverage has not yet reached, and there are stability issues with various extensions, so it is best to make a clear assessment before you use it in a formal project.
Due to the recent separation of components within the core framework without affecting the original usage (originally planned for the next version), relatively independent core components have been gradually separated into separate libraries. , and we also hope that developers who are interested in participating in ThinkPHP contributions can join us to jointly maintain the component library. The currently independent component libraries include:
These component libraries can be used independently without relying on the core framework.
It is not ruled out that the official will release the next RC version as soon as possible in order to better conduct public testing of componentization. In principle, the next RC version will not affect other code except possible configuration file adjustments.
The official plan is to release the official version 6.0 on the eve of National Day. During this period, due to limited energy, the update of "ThinkPHP Developer Weekly" will be suspended (if anyone is willing to join the weekly maintenance, you can also contact the official).
Finally, thank you all for your support and attention to the new version! The official has been committed to providing a better-use ThinkPHP framework.
