#What are Service Bus queues?

Service Bus queue supports the broker messaging communication model. When using queues, the components of a distributed application do not communicate with each other directly; instead, they exchange messages through the queue, which acts as a middleman (broker). The message producer (sender) delivers the message to the queue and continues processing. Asynchronously, message consumers (receivers) pull messages from the queue and process them. The producer does not have to wait for a reply from the consumer in order to continue processing and sending further messages.

Queue provides first-in-first-out (FIFO) delivery of messages to one or more competing consumers. That is, messages are typically received and processed by receivers in the order in which they are added to the queue, and each message is received and processed by only one message consumer.

Using queues makes it easier to scale applications and provides greater resiliency to your architecture.
