.net to php laraval framework learning series, .netlaraval

I haven’t written any blog before, maybe the structure of the article is confusing, I can’t think of where to write it.

The main thing is to write down your own learning experience.

Why choose the laravel framework? It’s because the laravel framework is currently the most popular framework for Php. After in-depth research, we found that it is basically on par with the asp.net mvc framework in terms of functionality. It's just that their implementation methods are different.

Building PHP development environment under windows

1. Download php address http://windows.php.net/download/ Pay attention to the relevant version, my server uses iis7.5 32 system

VC11 x86 Non Thread Safe (2014-Oct-02 02:43:40)

After decompression, place it in the corresponding directory and configure the php.ini file. Pay attention to the relevant configuration of enabling the dll inside. There is not much to say on this website.

2.iis configuration

I use fastcgi to deploy and need to download phpmanager https://phpmanager.codeplex.com/

After installing phpmanager, click on the iis site and the phpmanager icon will appear

After clicking it, the following interface will appear. The related setting functions are relatively simple. What needs to be paid attention to is php extensions. This is consistent with the dll enablement in php.ini above.

Configuring in iis fastcgi mode requires enabling php_wincache.dll. Remember to enable this.

3. Download the laravel framework. Here you need to download a composer, a php tool similar to npm.

You need to select the php version when installing. If you need to change the php version, just reinstall it

Extract the laravel compressed package to the laravel folder, shfit+right-click in the laravel folder to open the command window

Enter compser intsall and the relevant dependent components will be automatically downloaded to the vendor folder

4.mysql installation

Mysql installation will not be described in detail here, basically there is no big problem.

You may encounter a problem with laravel's Eloquent ORM modeling error later,

Need to put

in mysql

# Set the SQL mode to strict
#sql-mode="STRICT_TRANS_TABLES,NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION"

was changed to

sql-mode="NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER,NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION"

It is also best to find solutions online, if there are no problems.

5. After all components are downloaded, start configuring the iis php site

Configure the same as the .net site. Note that the root directory of the site is not the laravel folder, but the public folder below.

Configure the host file and website domain name.

The configuration is complete, click check phpinfo() in phpmanager; to view the installation

The program pool does not need to be changed, the 2.0 integrated mode is enough,

6. At this point, the installation of all components is basically completed.

Visit the website domain name set in the previous step. You can see the laravel welcome page.

There is another thing to pay special attention to here. Since the URL generated by laravel does not have a suffix, a 404 error will occur.

Need to install IIS Url Rewrite component

After installation is complete

Enter the rewrite interface and click on the right to import rules

Then select the .htaccess file under the public file

Just apply the rules after importing.

The above steps basically complete the setup of laravel running environment in window iis

Having been a net programmer for 3 years, is it better to convert to php?

There is no need to overwhelm the body with many skills
You don’t have to give up .net to learn PHP
It is not easy to achieve the ultimate in beautiful pages
No one knows all programs
Only the best Just try to do your best

Do I need to rewrite everything to convert from net to PHP?

.net to PHP needs to be completely rewritten.
However, with the original framework structure, rewriting will be relatively faster than redevelopment.
Programmers are required to be proficient in .NET and PHP.

Database is a more complicated problem. Mainly data conversion.
This all depends on the programmer’s skills. The conversion time is related to the size of the database and the complexity of the data structure.

Generally speaking, if the data structure is developed by yourself, it can be converted quickly
No more than 1 week at most.
