According to news from this site on January 4, Leifeng.com reported that the adjustment of OPPO China has finally been implemented, and Liu Bo, the former Vice President of OPPO, President of China, and President of the Emerging Mobile Terminal Division, has resigned as President of OPPO China. The position was taken over by Duan Yaohui, vice president of the group and president of the mobile phone product line.

The report also stated that according to people familiar with the matter, Duan Yaohui’s appointment as President of OPPO China is directly related to the poor market performance in the region. There have been internal rumors about Liu Bo's changes, and there were internal discussions in February 2023. The original plan was to follow the example of vivo and recruit a trader from an agency to serve as the president of China, but no suitable candidate was found.

Regarding this rumor, OPPO responded to Sina Technology saying that is false news.

Liu Bo joined OPPO in 2005 and was responsible for product engineering and procurement. He later served as OPPO’s chief procurement officer and became president of the emerging mobile terminal business unit in 2018.

In April 2020, OPPO announced that Liu Bo would be the president of China, with overall responsibility for the operation and brand building of the Chinese market. OPPO stated that it will continue to strengthen refined operations in key regional markets, and this adjustment will further consolidate OPPO’s strategic position in the Chinese market.

According to the query results of this site, Liu Bo’s Weibo shows that he is warming up the OPPO Find X7 series of new phones. The latest Weibo was posted 15 hours ago.
