It is reported that the relevant 6 GHz frequency band is mainly open to ultra-low power (Very Low Power, VLP) devices, VR, AR, motion detectors and various Internet of Things devices (IoT).

The FCC Commission believes that industry innovation "needs flexibility", but still requires a "series of regulations" to allow relevant equipment to have 6Ghz high-speed transmission capabilities. In order to protect the operation of existing equipment in the 6 GHz band, the FCC currently has stricter power consumption requirements for consumer products.

After inquiries, IT House learned that regulations allow consumer products to operate in the U-NII-5 and U-NII-7 parts of the 6 GHz frequency band, totaling 850 MHz.
