IT House News on September 13, Adobe announced that after several months of testing, its Firefly generative AI model has been officially launched in multiple applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Express and Adobe Experience Cloud.
Firefly AI features that were previously only available in beta, such as Illustrator’s vector recolor, Express’ text-to-image effects, and Photoshop’s Generate Fill tool, are now available to most users
Adobe has also released a standalone Firefly web application, allowing users to experience some of the generation capabilities without subscribing to specific Adobe Creative Suite applications. Adobe Express Premium and Firefly web apps will be included with paid Creative Cloud subscription plans
Adobe Firefly for Enterprise has also been officially launched, which may be attractive to enterprises looking for commercially safe generative AI models, because Adobe trained Firefly with Adobe Stock and public domain content, which is not copyrighted limit. Adobe said it is also developing ways for customers to customize Firefly models with their own assets to generate custom content that matches their own brand.
It’s worth mentioning that all content generated using Firefly features includes a content certificate – a digital “nutritional label” supported by the Content Authenticity Initiative that appends attribute metadata and identifies the image as being generated by AI Generated. This tab displays information such as the asset's name, creation date, tools used and any edits. IT House noted that Adobe is one of 15 technology companies that has committed to the White House to develop technology that can recognize AI-generated images and share secure data to promote the responsible use of generative AI.
