How to refuel a laptop fan

Step one: disassemble the machine. When maintaining the fan, you must first remove the battery and part of the notebook and put the fan on its back. You can see it by removing the integrated back cover of the memory and hard disk, but this does not mean that you can take it out.

Then remove the screws that fix the palm rest and keyboard. Generally, notebooks will have screw marks. Note that it is best to place the screws neatly on the open space according to their disassembled positions, so that there will be no missing installation. (Recommended study:phpstorm)

After removing the screws, turn over the fuselage. If the keyboard and palm rest are designed separately, pay attention to the order of disassembly. Generally, the keyboard is first and then the palm is disassembled. Just reverse the order during installation.

Step 2: Disassemble the fan. After "eviscerating" the notebook, you can see the position of the fan. At this time, you need to unscrew the fixing screw of the fan.

Be careful to disassemble the screws diagonally, otherwise the pure copper fan will easily crush the core surface of the notebook, then gently lift one end and pull it out (the edge of one end is often stuck under the shell mold ).

Pay attention to the structure of the fan. If it is fixed with rivets, you need to use a flat-blade screwdriver to remove the exposed fixed part. Be careful not to damage the fan heat pipe with excessive force or injure your hands. It would be much easier if it was just fixed with buckles. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry up the buckles, and the fan will be completely disassembled.

Step 3: Remove dust.

Remove the soft sponge, use a brush to sweep away the dust, and then use a moist cotton swab to completely remove the stubborn dust. Then look for the motherboard, etc. product packaging box. There will be a gray-black soft sponge inside. Cut it according to the existing sponge shape of the fan, then tear off the original fan and use double-sided tape to tape the new one. Paste the cut pieces back into place.

Step 4: Refuel the fan.

When refueling the fan, use a cotton swab to lightly tap the fan bearing. Generally, a few drops of lubricating oil will suffice. Never use bicycle lubricating oil. It has many impurities and is not suitable for use in fan bearings. Watch lubricating oil is a good choice.

Reinstall the fan rotor back into the fan, turn it manually for a few turns to allow the lubricant to completely blend in, and then reinstall the fan. If the rivet is fixed, use a drop of 502 glue to refix it.

Reinstall the fan in this way, and then turn it on after the assembly is completed. You will find that the fan sound is much quieter, and because the dust has been removed, the heat dissipation effect will also be improved!
