Here's The Rather Absurd 'Street Fighter' Movie Cast List Right Now

Of course, there’s an objectively terrible yet cult-favorite Street Fighter movie from 1994, featuring a similarly bizarre lineup that starred Jean-Claude Van Damme, Ming-Na Wen, and…Kylie Minogue, among others. Now? This new cast might just rival that one in terms of pure unpredictability. With the latest additions, here's what we've got:

Andrew Koji as Ryu – This may be the only truly logical choice on this list, considering Koji is an incredible martial artist and the lead actor in the brilliant but underappreciated series Warrior.

Callina Liang as Chun-Li – A major role handed to a relatively unknown actress who recently appeared as a teenager in the horror film Presence, which definitely did not involve any fighting scenes.

Noah Centineo as Ken – He's definitely a leading man, or at least one within Netflix's stable, having appeared in several of the streamer's shows and movies, including the now-cancelled The Recruit.

Jason Momoa as Blanka – Well, he does have the hair. Plus, he's probably the biggest name attached so far, especially with his upcoming transition from playing Aquaman in the DCEU to Lobo in the DCU. That makeup will definitely be something to see.

50 Cent as Balrog – Wait, really? Sure, 50 Cent has been acting for quite some time, but we’re clearly moving into more unexpected territory with this pick.

Cody Rhodes as Guile – As in, current WWE sensation Cody Rhodes. We’ve obviously pulled quite a few actors from WWE over the years—The Rock, John Cena, Dave Bautista—but it remains to be seen whether Rhodes can pull it off.

Roman Reigns as Akuma – If one WWE superstar wasn’t surprising enough, the film also features Reigns stepping into the role of the fiery-haired fighter. I’m not entirely convinced about his acting chops compared to his cousin The Rock, but we’ll find out. No, you won’t see The Rock listed below.

Andrew Schulz as Dan – The comedian is taking on the role of the notoriously comical character Dan, which could actually work well.

David Dastmalchian as M. Bison – Even in a cast that includes a rapper and two wrestlers, this might be the most baffling casting decision. M. Bison is the towering antagonist of the Street Fighter world, and “towering” isn't exactly the first word that comes to mind when describing Dastmalchian. He's a fantastic actor, no doubt, but what kind of version of M. Bison are they going for?

Orville Peck as Vega – Alright, are we just messing around at this point? The masked country singer with little to no acting experience is being cast as the enigmatic, masked fighter. Is the theme here simply “people who wear masks”? What’s the actual logic behind this?

There are still roles left to cast (where’s Cammy? Zangief?), but wow, this is already something else. I honestly don’t know what to make of it all. Allegedly, we’ll get answers by 2026.
