Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is full of mind-melting puzzles to uncover. On Jedha, eagle-eyed players may have spotted a trifecta of intricate quick-time puzzles similar to the ones found in Jedi Meditation Chambers. One of the trickiest of these is known as the Path of Conviction.
The Path of Conviction is a puzzle that should only be tackled after getting the necessary upgrades. Players will need the Upgraded Ascension Cable. It's also helpful to have the Dash Jump as well. Once you have those skills in tow, here's a step-by-step guide on how to complete the Path of Conviction.
To start, travel to Jedha and use a Meditation Point to fast-travel to the Arid Flats Meditation Point. From there, you'll want to veer right and follow the desert path on a Spamel, one of the mounts you can find in the game, until you see two looming towers on top of a plateau. Head towards them.
You'll know you're in the right place when you see two Stormtroopers guarding two floating balloons just to the left.
Defeat the Stormtroopers and use your Ascension Cable to reach the upper landing.
From there, there are more Stormtroopers to defeat. Once felled, look up to find the next grapple point for your cable, and climb up the face of the wall. On top of the plateau, there's another group of Stormtroopers to defeat.
You'll see a small hollowed-out crevice and a Sense Echo point. Collect the Echo and the head to your left. From there, cut the rope to the left of the tower structure to create a shortcut for yourself. Slide down the rope and defeat the droids and Stormtroopers near the gulch. Now, you're ready to start the Path of Conviction puzzle proper.
On the first landing, there's a small cave guarded by two KX droids. If you defeat them, you can splice open a small box to receive a new Lightsaber Material to further customize your Lightsaber.
First, take a look at your surroundings from the lowermost outcrop of rock, where you just defeated the KX droid and additional Stormtrooper. You'll see a confusing series of orbs and sliders that all work in tandem with one another. In addition, you'll see a floating balloon Ascension Cable Point.
In essence, the Path of Conviction is a physics and quick-time puzzle. You'll need to Force Push and Pull the rolling orbs in a certain order, and within a certain time limit, in order to roll one of the orbs up to the top of the plateau where the two towers are.
Each orb you Force Push or Force Pull moves a corresponding platform or slider. You'll also need to use your Ascension Cable to quickly get from one side of the gulch to another. When you Force Pull certain orbs toward you, they slowly roll back to position, meaning you have limited time before they reset.
First, let's label each slider and orb. There are four Sliders and three Orbs.
The first step is to Force Pull Orb 1 toward you. This lowers part of Slider 4, which is holding Orb 2, and moves it into position with Slider 2. From there, you'll have a limited time to use the Ascension Cable point to launch yourself across the gulch. Once you're across, Force Push Orb 2 through Slider 2 so that it lands on the rightmost side of the gulch.
Once Orb 2 is pushed, you will notice that a new outcrop of rock appears on the rightmost side of the gulch, right next to Slider 3. From here, you have a little extra time on the next quick-time challenge, but not much. From the newly formed outcrop of rock, you can now reach Orb 3. If Orb 3 is pulled, it aligns Slider 4, so that an Orb pushed through it will reach the top of the plateau.
Though not always needed, using Cal's Force Dash is a helpful way to quickly clear the gulch after using the Ascension Cable. This will help give you more time between Force Pushes/Pulls.
However, the trick is that you must also Force Pull Orb 1 so that Orb 2 can be lifted back up into its starting position. This is the trickiest part of the puzzle, and leaves very little room for error. So, keep your fingers limber, and follow the below steps to finish the puzzle.
First, leave Orb 2 in position on the rightmost side of Slider 2. Then, return to the starting outcrop of rock across the gulch. Then, Force Pull Orb 1 towards you to line up Slider 2, and use the Ascension Cable point to quickly leap toward the upper outcrop of rock on the right wall.
Then, quickly Force Pull Orb 3 towards yourself. This will line up Slider 4 and allow Orb 2 to roll up toward the top of the plateau. After you do this, leap down to the lower platform directly below you, where Orb 2 is currently resting.
From there, Force Push Orb 2. If you've done this quickly enough, it should roll all the way to the leftmost portion of Slider 2 and not roll back to you.
If you haven't done this fast enough, the Orb will roll back to where it was, and you'll have to start again.
However, if you've done your job right, Orb 2 should now be about to lift up into position with Slider 4 as soon as Orb 1 returns to its starting place. So, after Force Pushing Orb 2, leap across the gulch using the Ascension Cable again to the platform with the rope shortcut.
Quickly Force Push Orb 2 as soon as it's in the up position, and aligned with Slider 4. If you've done this fast, Slider 4 should still be aligned, and Orb 2 will shoot up to the top of the Plateau.
The hard part is now over! From this platform, climb up the shortcut rope to reach the top of the plateau once more. You should see Orb 2 in position in the horizontal slider. Force Push it toward the two towers. They should lower.
Once they do, a nearby staircase will appear to the right of the slider, and you can claim your reward for completing the Path of Conviction! Completing this puzzle grants you a new Perk Slot for Cal, allowing you to choose a new Perk to add to your build.
