There are many smaller locations in Dragon Quest 3 Remake for you to find. Some are in small hidden areas, while others are whole villages just a bit off the well-trodden path. It's a game that promotes you exploring, investing time in its world.
For most places though, you are typically guided to them in some soft-hand way. They're just over the horizon, there might be a cool item there an NPC told you about. Not so with Lozamii. It is entirely possible you'll go through the whole game having never ever heard of this elusive location. So let's find it.
If you've heard of Lozamii, then it's likely you'll have already visited the Pirate's Den. While here, you can talk with the captain of these pirates and, should you answer her questions correctly, she will kindly offer you a hint as to the island of Lozamii, and land she claims none have found because it does not exist.
Yet for a land she believes doesn't exist, her directions are shockingly accurate. Head south and a little west of here, the Pirate's Den, and you will supposedly come upon it. Well supposedly has nothing to do with it, because following those directions will lead you directly to Lozamii.
It can be hard to make out on the world map before you've discovered it as it is quite small, but it is directly south-west of the Pirate's Den, south of the tip of the South American-shaped continent, and south-east of Aliahan.
Think of Aliahan like Australia and Lozamii like Aotearoa/New Zealand, and they basically line up the same way.
When you land on the island of Lozamii, you'll find that it's already populated, albeit sparsely. The people here will welcome you warmly, though apologise for the lack of activities and goods available to you.
That's not strictly true though, as their homes are packed with goodies for the Hero to pilfer. Or perhaps take a lend of. A Hero wouldn't steal, obviously. Here's all the items you can find:
Item |
Directions |
---|---|
Silver Platter | Left bookshelf in northern house. |
Loving Living: A Grinner's Guide | Right bookshelf in northern house. |
Wyrtle (Monster) | By the grave in the north at night. |
Scholar's Cap | In the bedside table in the southern house. |
Fail Is A Four-Letter Word | In the leftmost bookshelf in the southern house. |
The Champion's Code | In the second-to-the-left bookshelf in the southern house. |
Leap Before You Look | In the top bookshelf on the east wall in the southern house. |
10,000 Gold Coins | In the central bookshelf on east wall in the southern house. |
Pot Lid | In the bottom bookshelf on the east wall in the southern house. |
Handsome Crab (Monster) | Between the southern house and the ropebridge during the day |
The recruitable monsters are the most noteworthy things to find here, though it's always helpful to collect some extra personality books if someone is in desperate need of a change. Plus 10,000 Gold Coins is nothing to turn your nose up at.
So you've collected every item in Lozamii and took in the sights, but you're wondering what there actually is to do here, right? Well that's the fun part - there isn't any.
The reason Lozamii is so unheard of in the game is because there is quite literally nothing to do there. No unique items, quests, shops or anything. You can access the typical church services at the Priest, but that's about it. One man will tell you a story about Simão, though it's nothing you can't hear anything else.
At least it's quiet here.
