Anbernic is in the throes of another release, details of which we covered yesterday. In short, the company has confirmed that the RG406V will arrive next week, which it will initially sell for $154.99. Incidentally, it has also confirmed that it is preparing to unveil a refresh of the popular RG35XX SP.
While all that is official, there are already rumours of another retro gaming handheld being in the works. Allegedly, Anbernic is considering returning to the RG Cube (curr. $249.99 on Amazon), another device that it released earlier this year. However, the company is not expected to deliver a refresh or an upgraded model. Instead, it seems that Anbernic could be developing a less powerful called the RG Cube XX or similar.
Please note that this is not guaranteed yet and may not actually come to fruition. With that being said, Anbernic's penchant for using Allwinner's H700 chipset and desire to release new products monthly suggests that a reworking of this kind could be on the cards, albeit reportedly not until November. If that proves the case, then we would suspect that the RG Cube XX would combine the Allwinner H700 with a 1:1 display of some kind.
The above is the detailed content of Anbernic rumoured to be developing new RG Cube spin-off aimed at emulating up to PlayStation and Nintendo 64 games. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
