Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition: Lenovo undercuts Samsung with new lightweight Intel Lunar Lake laptop release
Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition: Lenovo undercuts Samsung with new lightweight Intel Lunar Lake laptop release

Lenovo has now released the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, less than a week after initially presenting the Intel Lunar Lake-based laptop. Please note that while the company revealed plenty of details about the laptop during IFA 2024 in Berlin, it elected against confirming a specific release date.
Nonetheless, the laptop is now available to pre-order across multiple markets, including the Eurozone, the UK and the US. To recap, Lenovo already disclosed that the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition would be sold with a 70 Wh battery and a 15.3-inch IPS display. Moreover, the latter was said to offer a 2.8K resolution, 500 nits peak brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Now, Lenovo's various store listings confirm that the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition comes with the Core Ultra 7 Processor 256V or Core Ultra 7 Processor 258V. Please note that Lenovo only distinguishes these two processors by 16 GB of RAM for the former and 32 GB of RAM for the latter; Intel'sARK databasereveals no other hardware differences between the pair other than their names.
At any rate, the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition currently starts at $1,279.99 in the US with a Core Ultra 7 Processor 256V, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Alternatively, the Lunar Lake laptop can be configured with a 1 TB SSD for a $100 surcharge. Thus, the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition is considerably cheaper than the Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 that Samsungreleased a few days ago. It is worth keeping in mind that Lenovo is not offering Core Ultra 7 Processor 258V variants in the US yet, although this processor is listed on US 'tech specs'. By contrast, Lenovo is offering four SKUs in Europe and the UK apiece, which it has priced as follows:
- Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 256V, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD: $1,279.99/£1,299.99/€1,349.01
- Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 256V, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD: $1,379.99/£1,350/€1,399.02
- Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 258V, 32 GB RAM, (1 TB listed, possibly 512 GB SSD instead): £1,400/€1,499.01
- Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 256V, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD: £1,500/€1,599.02
