So far, the Acer Swift lineup was largely comprised of 14-inch laptops with the 16-inch chassis offered only in the Swift X and Swift Go Series. At IFA 2024, Acer is introducing its first Swift 16 laptop powered by Intel's latest Lunar Lake Core Ultra Series 2 processors.
The Acer Swift 16 AI and the Swift 14 AI are the company's first Lunar Lake offerings. The Swift 16 (SF16-51/T) can be configured with a variety of Core Ultra Series 2 processors with Intel Arc Xe2 graphics starting from the Core Ultra 5 226V all the way up to the Core Ultra 9 288V.
Acer offers a choice between 16-inch 3K OLED touch and IPS touch panels with pen and inking support. Buyers can configure the Swift 16 with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8448 RAM and up to a 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD.
The laptop also comes with several security features including Windows Hello-compliant IR facial recognition, proximity user sensor, Intel Partner Security Engine, and the Microsoft Pluton security processor.
The Swift 16 AI features Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for fast wireless networking. You also get 2x USB4 Type-C ports, 2x USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1-out, and a combo audio jack. All this is powered by a 3-cell 75 Whr Li-ion battery in a chassis weighing just 1.5 kg.
The Acer Swift 16 AI SF16-51/T will be available North America in October starting from US$1,199.99 and in the EMEA in December starting from €1,299.
