In 2022, Hyundai showed off a concept EV called the N Vision 74, a retro-futuristic car that is based on the 1974 Pony Coupe concept car. The N Vision 74 was a way for Hyundai's 'N' sub-brand, which focuses on high-performance vehicles, to show what it is capable of. According to new information, the Hyundai N Vision 74 may actually become commercially available.
Apparently, Hyundai revealed a slide detailing its plans for its EV linup at its 2024 CEO Investor Day. The slide revealed the Korean car company plans to release 21 EV models by 2030 cutting across multiple lines including the Casper and Genesis lines.
The slide also revealed some of those EVs would launch under the N sub-brand, and among the vehicles mentioned high-performance segment is the Hyundai N Vision 74. This has been taken to mean that the concept car will be available to buy in the near future.
Although, it is important to state that Hyundai itself has not issued a statement confirming that the car would indeed be mass-produced, and considering Hyundai has quashed rumors of the car getting mass-produced, it is advised not to get your hopes up too high. However, the possibility is high this time since it appeared in an official presentation.
The Hyundai N Vision 74 concept shown in 2022 boasts a hybrid hydrogen fuel cell system and a 62.4 kWh battery with 800V fast charging, but there's a possibility the commercially available version may be quite different. Nevertheless, the possibility of its existence is exciting. With less than six years to 2030, the wait isn't too long. Hopefully an official confirmation and more details are revealed soon.
