The Galaxy A35 5G was released earlier this year as one of Samsung's mid-range smartphones, launching alongside its more powerful and expensive sibling, the Galaxy A55. Just some months after its debut in the US, the phone has gotten a significant price cut on Amazon.

The Galaxy A35 might be a mid-range smartphone but it shares its design and even some of its features with some of Samsung's flagship phones. Its 6.6-inch 120Hz AMOLED display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ (interestingly, the Galaxy S23 FE has Gorilla Glass 5). It also has an IP67 dust and water resistance rating, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and 25W fast wired charging like the Galaxy S24.

On the official Samsung store, the Galaxy A35 sells for $399 for the base configuration with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but for a limited time, you can pick it up on Amazon for $299.99, which is 25% off its original price. There's also a bundle that adds a free pair of Galaxy Buds FE, but that will cost an additional $100.

There's a lot to love about the Galaxy A35. From its glass back which gives it a premium look to supporting storage expansion via a microSD card slot (up to 1TB cards) to having support for an eSIM. Samsung also promises it will receive 4 years of OS upgrades and 5 years of security updates. And its 5,000mAh battery should provide up to 2 days of battery life depending on usage.

However, there are some things to note. Its processor, the Exynos 1380 isn't the most powerful in this price range. In addition, it also doesn't charge as fast as rival devices such as the Redmi Note 13 Pro which has support for 67W fast charging and even ships with a charger in the box, unlike the Galaxy A35. Nevertheless, it is still a good choice, especially if you want to upgrade from a much older budget smartphone.
