In the past five years, the development of 5G technology has gone through three key standard versions: R15, R16 and R17. The R18 standard took more than three years from project establishment to freezing and is the first version of 5G-Advanced (5G-A/5.5G). Compared with previous 5G technology, 5G-A is expected to achieve a tenfold increase in network performance, supporting higher data transmission rates and a wider connection range. The downlink peak rate has increased from 1Gbps to 10Gbps, and the uplink peak rate has also increased from 1Gbps to 10Gbps. 0.1Gbps increased to 1Gbps.
