Intel Arrow Lake desktop chips on track to launch in October

Intel recently pushed back its October-bound Intel Innovation event likely due to its less than stellar performance of late. An earlier rumour stated Arrow Lake would get shown off at the event, so its cancellation tacitly implied Intel's next-gen desktop chips would get delayed. However, Benchlife has learned from its sources that the launch will proceed as per schedule.

Essentially, Arrow Lake will be shown off on October 10 via an unspecified event. It comes a month after the Lunar Lake laptop chips make their debut in early September. A previous leak stated Arrow Lake had a total of 18 Core Ultra 9, Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 5 SKUs spread out across different TDP ranges. This, of course, doesn't include the entry-level Core Ultra 3 and Intel Processor (formerly known as Celeron) models which are said to debut next year at CES 2025.

If previous launch cycles are anything to go by, only a handful of K-branded Core Ultra 9, Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 5 models will hit shelves initially, which should happen a week or two after the announcement. High-end Z890 and B860 (tentative) motherboards from board partners should also show up at around the same time.
