ThePhantom V Fold debuted in the same year as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, with the larger (and higher resolution) main AMOLED display of the 2, yet is one of the cheapest foldable smartphones on the Indian market, at INR 69,999 (~$834) on Amazon.in today (August 16, 2024).

The first-gen V Fold also has a distinctive camera hump (even for a foldable smartphone) with a 50MP f/1.9 main shooter: something unchanged in its upcoming successor, according to Camera FV-5.

In addition, a Geekbench result now linked to the V Fold2 (via the alleged model number AE10) lists an SoC of the same specs as the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+SoC of its predecessor. It also still has 12GB of RAM, although it runs Android 14 while the original V Fold remains on Android 13.
