The Vanpowers GrandTeton-Pro e-bike has been launched in the US. The all-terrain model is powered by a 750W brushless hub motor with a top speed of 20 mph (~32 kph). The accompanying torque sensor ensures the output matches your pedalling, or you can trigger a burst of power using the left-hand thumb throttle.
The GrandTeton-Pro uses a 692Wh battery, allowing you to ride with assistance for up to 65 miles (~105 km), and an optional extender power pack can double your range. The e-bike has a 9-speed Shimano Cues 4000 rear derailleur and a front fork with 120mm travel. Other features include Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, 4-inch tires and a 1.9-inch color TFT-LCD display. Bluetooth connectivity allows you to use the VanLife app with the e-bike, and accessories like a taillight, aluminum alloy fenders and a rear rack are standard.
The frame comes in one size, for riders between 165 and 175cm (5'1" and 5'9") tall, and is available in two colors: Galaxy Silver and Lava Red/Coke Black. Taller riders could consider the recently released GrandTeton-Ultra, which caters to those measuring up to 190cm (~6'5"). You can currently buy the Vanpowers GrandTeton-Pro e-bike for the discounted price of $1,699. This introductory offer will run until August 18th, after which the model will return to its RRP of $1,899.
