Atalanta Emerge As Latest Club Linked With Move For Super Eagles Midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru

Atalanta have joined the race to sign in-demand Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, according to TuttoAtalanta.

Dele-Bashiru has been linked with several top European clubs following his impressive spell in the Turkish Super Lig with Hatayspor last season.

The Manchester City-trained midfielder is said to have attracted interest from Lazio, who are reportedly close to agreeing a fee of around seven million euros with Hatayspor for the transfer.

However, recent reports have suggested that the deal is being held up by Dele-Bashiru’s salary demands, with Lazio unwilling to meet the player’s request.

As a result, other clubs are now emerging as potential destinations for the 23-year-old.

In addition to Atalanta, an unnamed French club is also said to be interested in signing Dele-Bashiru.

The midfielder’s stock is set to continue rising after he made an impressive competitive debut for Nigeria earlier this month.

Dele-Bashiru scored a brilliant equaliser for the Super Eagles in a crucial 1-1 draw with South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

He, however, missed Nigeria’s disappointing 2-1 loss to the Benin Republic due to injury.
