HMD releases HMD 105 and HMD 110 feature phones with long battery life but lacking Nokia branding

HMD has released various devices of late, including several Nokia-branded feature phones. For context, barely a month has gone by since the company presented the Nokia 3210 2024, a reincarnation of the Nokia 3210 to mark its 25th anniversary. Additionally, it has been selling the Nokia 215, Nokia 225 and Nokia 235 from late April, all with LTE connectivity, USB Type-C ports and Snake, among other features.

Now, HMD Global has changed tack by revealing new feature phones with its branding rather than Nokia's. Ultimately, the HMD 105 and HMD 110 replace the Nokia 105 and Nokia 110 (curr. $39.99 on Amazon), which are now reaching their third birthday. In short, little separates the HMD 105 from the HMD 110, with both sharing a 1,000 mAh battery that is rated for up to 18 days of usage and a small display surrounded by thick bezels.

However, the HMD 105 will lack a rear-facing camera or an LED flash array, just like the Nokia 105 (curr. $34.99 on Amazon) before it. Moreover, the two new feature phones will contain a 3.5 mm jack and a Micro USB port rather than the more versatile USB Type-C equivalent. While HMD Global has not confirmed many specifications yet, it has outlined that both feature phones will support Unified Payments Interface (UPI), an instant payment system developed by the National Payments Corporation of India. Currently, HMD Global has priced the HMD 105 and HMD 110 at INR 999 (~$12) and INR 1,199 (~$14), respectively, with no word on an international release yet.
