jQuery - remove elements

Delete elements/content

If you need to delete elements and content, you can generally use the following two jQuery methods:

remove() - Delete the selected element (and its sub-elements)

empty() - Removes child elements from the selected element

jQuery remove() method removes the selected element element and its subelements.

empty() method

jQuery empty() method deletes the child elements of the selected element.

Filter deleted elements

The jQuery remove() method also accepts a parameter, allowing you to filter deleted elements.
